Andy I loved THIS SONG ..I know it was written by Ron but it sounded like you ..I have a question .What is Ron's style of writting ? Is it Country ,Folk ? I listened to a few of the songs and some sounded like Folk with a few more upbeats to it ..Strawberry Blond and Lebonon Tennessee sounded either Country or Flok to me ..I have not heard his work before and I am just wondering what his style is ..Andy is that why you ask me if I listened to Country ?

For some reason, I haven't been able to listen using Firefox, so I finally tried with Explorer and it worked. That's a beautiful song.

I love Ron's music and his voice. I have a couple of his CDs. Also, his voice and Andy's blend beautifully together.

A beautiful job on this, Andy.

Fran since you have some of Ron's music do you think it is Folk with a modern beat or Country ? What would you call his music ?

Hey Neia,

I don't think you can pigeonhole Ron's music that easily. As with Andy's, it's very complex, taking your mind one place than another. Being raised where they were, they were probably exposed to all kinds of music. The same goes for Leonard Cohen and Anne Murray. Canada is a real melting pot of music.

If you do a search on Amazon, listen to the snippet of BEAUTIFUL VIEW. On SEEM TO RECALL, tell me if he doesn't sound like Bob Dylan. These are on the album WHEREABOUTS. He autographed this one for me at the '07 Christmas Show.

We know one of Andy's strong points is his ability to choose just the right people to sing with him and back him up. By himself, he has a remarkable voice, then when he adds the music and voices, it's even more him. I don't know it that makes sense but it's what it seems to me. One of my favorite parts of the shows was hearing he and Ron sing together.

Anyway, you know me. I could write forever. Just check his music out. I think you'll like it.

Yes Fran I know what you are talking about ..In Whatever Happened To Christmas they harmonize so well together that they just compliment eachothers voices ..That song it AWESOME ♥

Fran I went to YouTube and found Ron's songs . I listened to Beautiful View and Seem To Recall ..They were both live and on YouTube it is hard to really get the sound ..I know they are better on CD so I could not tell if he sounded like Dylan or not and Seem To Recall was a better quality video than Beautiful View but they both seemed to be good .I bet the CD is nice .

Yeah, it's hard to hear on most of the live videos. On Amazon, you only hear a little from the middle of each song but it's much clearer. The CD really is great. On Amazon, you hear the intro to BEAUTIFUL VIEW, which is wonderful.

I'm finally learning how to operate my Kindle Fire and have some of Andy's music on it. Unfortunately, the latest CD is still available only in Canada and they don't support Kindle. Meanwhile, at least I'm able to enjoy what I have.
