Neia I cant help it lol. Hey I just thought if another oldie that I like. "Here Comes The Morning" another poignant song. Now I will be in trouble with Fran lol. Please dont dob me in again Neia I will give you my best sweets lolol Love Jill xxx
WELL!!! I wonder who the heck had this idea. It's way, way too difficult.....oops.....never mind.
I've been listening to all of Andy's music I own and I think that's all but one song he's recorded. I have no trouble deciding on a new one. Like Connie, I remember the first time I heard Happen Again, at the Christmas Show in Toronto in December, 2007. At that time, we didn't even know for sure what the title was. I loved it then and I love it now, even better than 3 Days In Heaven, which is a close second, particularly that intro...then the voice.
Still listening to the oldies but I'll be back. I've narrowed it down to about eight. I know. I'm sure having fun making this decision, though. I wish all "jobs" could be this pleasant.

sorry fran just cant helpit. just thought of two more oldie i was listening to andys CD. the first one i got there is two song on there that i really like. and i will sing you to sleep. here come the mornin. oh well maybe three. baby youre are all i got i guess there is so many to choose from love them all. sorry fran.
O.K., Y'all. Someone remind me of this the next time I start a new discussion. This has been SO difficult. I've listened over and over again.....as if I don't do that all the time. This time, however, I listened to every little detail of the lyrics and Andy's voice and the music, background singers, etc. I made a long list, shortened it and came up with this list:
And I Will Sing You To Sleep Baby I Love You Baby You're All I Got Be My Baby Fire Baby, I'm On Fire In the Night Machine Rainbow Ride Shoot 'em Up Baby
The one I keep coming back to is Baby You're All I Got. This is a song of hope and reminds me a lot of my old Rock & Roll roots in the early '50s. The accompaniment is so upbeat, too. So I guess my favorite Andy oldie has to be BABY YOU'RE ALL I GOT.
Now, I have to go clear my head by listening to Amour and RMG a dozen or so times. Oh, life is so hard. @8^)#W##{}=======8

Good choices Fran I also like Baby You're All I Got. Like you say its sooo hard. I didnt dare make a list because I would have been there forever. Just thought of another!!!! "So Good Together" Love that song. LOve Jill xx
I don't think your challenge is a fair one Fran. lol....To pick one song after it took a long time to already pick a song, is near impossible for me, but,,,,I'll try. Boy oh boy,,this is tough...
I love ''Mr Music Man' and 'Love the Poor Boy', 'Go It Slow' is crazy sexy,,,'I Been Moved' is pretty cool, 'Foundation Of My Soul' & 'Wonderful You' are great songs too.. But, I think it boils down to 2 for me. I love 'You Are My Everything' and 'Mary Ann'. I used to be such an avid walker and never left home without AK music. Mary Ann has the greatest galloping intro that always puts a smile on my face.>>> 'Ah ya make me want, just like the day I was born'..LOVE that line.. My mom's all time favourite is 'Be My Baby'..'for every kiss you give me, I"ll give you three'...only line I think she remembers and she's always singing it. lolol 'Powerdrive', 'Someday', 'You Are', are all amazing. I truly can't choose. Andy's new CD is beautiful and like me many people love 'Happen Again'. Music is so subjective and each day seems to bring new meaning to a song for me. This just shows how brilliant Andy is as a songwriter and singer. To have this challenge be so difficult Fran tells us this artist is so exceptionally good. :):) Di...

Jill, I like SO GOOD TOGETHER and I just remembered I BEEN MOVED. I don't know why I didn't add it to my short list. It just makes me feel good.
Di, I love Mary Ann, and I've done the same thing when I walk. It has such a beat and Andy's voice sounds so great on it. Yep, LOVE THE POOR BOY and GO IT SLOW were on my long list. And I love THIS IS ME but HAPPEN AGAIN always wins out for the new ones. Andy has created such a huge and diverse portfolio of music. Any time I think of all that's there, I'm amazed all over again.

I thought about your challenge today Fran as I was driving to work. This summer a unfortunate accident caused me to be driving a new car right now. You see, I drive my cars forever.......and so this new one has some gadgets and new tech things that are all new to me. I am not a really high tech person so I am usually the last one to get a new tech item. I downloaded my Ipod into the hard drive of the "entertainment center"of my new car. On my ipod the music is listed by albumn or cd. I have all of Andy's albumns and cd...plus my own mixes on the Ipod. Today on my way to work I was happily surprised that they load the entertainment center alphabetically!! When I went to listen to RMG....I got to listen to it 5 times!!! It was great because you could really hear the differences in his voice from one song/albumn or cd to the next. I did get to hear lots of his old songs again..........and I thought....Oh........I should have picked that song........or maybe this one! So, Fran I might need to change my choice for a favorite but before I do I need a long road trip!
