Royal Wedding

Postby Jill » April 29th, 2011, 4:12 am

Well we have a new Princess and she is beautiful. Princess Diana would have been so proud of her son and his choice of bride. The newly married couple will make a wonderful King and Queen when the time comes. Because William is Dianas son he was brought up to care for everyone and therefore he is not aloof he is kind and compassionate to everyone from all walks of life. His new wife didnt have any title before they were married but WOW today she showed she can adapt. I watched it on TV and have to confess I cried. They both looked so happy

Hey Jill,

I knew it would be replayed again and again so I didn't intend to get up at 3 A.M. to watch it but about an hour before, my eyes popped open. I watched the live coverage on ABC here and it was spectacular.

You're right. She is an exceptional person who I feel is capable to doing anything that needs to be done. She has such grace and beauty. How could he not have seen that and know she was the perfect choice. I also got up in the middle of the night to see his parents' wedding and one can't help noticing the differences. Diana appeared to me to be terrified by the whole thing and by a lot of the things she was asked to do thereafter. I don't remember her waving to anyone when she went into the church. Katherine smiled and waved and seemed to be so happy, every inch of the way. And of course, there were the looks exchanged between she and William. Charles and Diana were virtual strangers.

So many things impressed me. I thought the Queen was beautiful in yellow. The music was wonderful. So celebratory and uplifting. I loved the trees that were brought in. They turned the place into Springtime. I thought it was refreshing that she had only her sister as maid-of-honor. No mass of bridesmaids to distract your eye from her. I was surprised how fast the carriages carrying William and Katherine and Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip moved through the street. Everything was so carefully planned and executed. It was very impressive.

The new Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are so beautiful (yes, men can be called beautiful in this day and age), can you just imagine what their children are going to look like?

Glad I woke up when I did. I said it was spectacular but that's actually an understatement.

Love,
Fran

Too be honest Fran it is a real love story. This is Williams own choice and not a bride chosen to produce a full bloodied heir. I am so glad William had his mothers influence during the early part of his life because it has stood him in good stead. The giving of his mothers engagement ring to Kate showed that he wanted his Mum to be part of the most important day of his life. I am sure she was looking down on him and saying Good Choice Son. William has done what his mother could never quite achieve and that is break the protocol. He has actually lived with Kate for sometime. Something that no heir to the throne has ever done. They know each other so well now that the marriage just cemented the strong love and bond that they already have. They will make a very strong King and Queen. Have to say I just love Prince Harry as well. He sure is the joker Prince. But both boys have their mothers sense of humour. She would have been so proud of both of them today.
